Tea Before and Water After Your Treatments — Here’s Why

“Would you like some tea?” is one of the most common questions you’ll hear as a guest at Energy Spa & Wellness.

But what makes tea so significant in spas? And why is it always given before your spa treatment? Here are three things you may not know about Energy’s Signature Spa Tea.

#1: Its Ingredients Are Chock-Full of Benefits

It may come as no surprise that drinking tea has its benefits. And while the recipe may be kept on the down low, the ingredients used in our tea is surely great for your health and wellness. That can include:

  • Lowering your blood pressure
  • Lessening oxidative stress
  • Relieving inflammation
  • Soothing your digestive system
  • Reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke

In fact, a study published in European Journal of Preventative Cardiology found that the participants who regularly drank tea were less likely to die prematurely from any cause — particularly stroke — or develop atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

#3: Follow It With Water After Your Treatment

Since one of the main benefits of spa treatments is to assist with blood circulation and lymphatic circulation, you may sweat or feel overheated afterwards.

We do recommend a nice cup of cold (or room temperature) water can help flush out the toxins, bring your temperature back down, and hydrate you. You’ll feel energized and ready for whatever may follow as you step once again into the big, bright, fantastic world.
