About Us

Energy Wellness Group is a multiple award-winning group that paved the way to a new holistic approach to wellness for day spas in the region. Energy offers not only body therapies and paramedical beauty treatment, but also Pilates for movement and mobility, alternative therapies, and health and wellness modalities, with a focus on women’s health and various life phases in life impacting the female body, such as pregnancy and menopause. There is also a keen emphasis on recovery and restoration for women’s health in the aftermath of various life events and medical conditions.

The Group’s flagship, Energy Day Spa, was launched by founder, Datin Ramona Suleiman in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur in 2003. Unlike Energy Day Spa, a luxury spa with a five-star rating – Pure Energy Spa, opened in Lone Pine Hotel in Batu Ferringhi, Penang, with a vibrant, modern theme to go with the beach-side E&O boutique hotel. To ensure top quality service and skills, the group launched Energy Academy, Malaysia’s first Center of Excellence for Spa Professional Training, in Mont Kiara, Selangor, to provide and align skills training across the group.

Moreover, Energy Academy develops and delivers cutting-edge wellness courses for wellness and healthcare professionals, as well as members of the public. At Energy, we believe that there is a life force within each of us, which needs to be recharged as we go about our daily lives. It is only when the mind, body, and spirit are in perfect harmony, that there can be optimal wellness and lasting beauty.

Pilates Instructor
Know More
fiona

Fiona is a Certified Stott Pilates Teacher with 10 years of exposure to pilates through Body Logic Pilates and Movement Studio before she started teaching in 2009. Body Logic was established in 2001 as a subsidary of Energy’s and is Kuala Lumpur’s pioneer pilates studio. Fiona’s exposure to pilates was brought about by two experienced Canadian Stott Certified and pilates  method teachers ; Kathleen Keller and Sheila Draper of whom were the pioneers in Malaysia for pilates. Fiona suffered from Sciatica after a fall on Horseback in 1995 and sought relief through chiropractic, physiotherapy, callesnatic, massages, acupuncture and physical manipulation for 6 years. However, these treatments were not a successful long term solution. Pilates successfully reformed and realigned the spine and coccyx for Fiona and ultimately relieved the pain of Sciatica permanently. To Fiona, teaching pilates is a therapy in itself. That’s a great reason to teach it.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Energy Day Spa in Ampang has dedicated its community efforts to PRIDE Foundation (Pink Ribbon Deeds) Malaysia, a breast cancer charity that raises awareness and improves access to breast cancer treatment. In line with Energy’s expertise in women’s health and cancer rehabilitation, including oncology massage, our partnership with PRIDE allows us to better serve breast cancer patients and caregivers, towards recovery and healing.

PRIDE Foundation is an independent non-profit organisation that strives to create a positive environment where knowledge, treatment and support on breast cancer are readily available to the public. The incorporation of PRIDE is a tribute to the former First Lady of Malaysia, the late Tun Endon Mahmood, whose courage, resilience and strength in her fight against breast cancer were very much admired. PRIDE continuously seeks to collaborate with various government agencies, corporate organisations as well as other NGOs in its mission to enhance awareness and improve accessibility of treatment and cure of breast cancer. Visit PRIDE Foundation Malaysia for more information on the NGO and their cause.

Pure Energy Spa in Penang has a soft spot for furry friends and has tied up with PAWS (Paws Animal Welfare Society) Malaysia to help care for stray cats and dogs, and to find them homes wherever possible. Energy believes all beings are connected, regardless of species, and in letting the good energy flow to all of nature, we can make the world a better place.

PAWS was founded in 1987 by a small group of local and expatriate volunteers. Through their generosity and imagination, PAWS was constructed on a patch of land owned by Sime Plantations on the Subang Airport Road. This distinct group of sheds and a courtyard still stands today, and currently homes around 400 cats and dogs. The PAWS group includes 3 veterinarians and a number of full-time staff. The organization depends entirely on public donations or proceeds from charitable events organized and run by volunteers. Visit PAWS Malaysia for more information on how to adopt, help, or support the animals.
